I definitely think that IT can help fix or further destroy the global economy. IT is such a powerful force that can go either way. Because all of the new advances, ongoing research, and cutting edge technologies, I am optimistic that it will help restore the economy.
@angelfuego I certainly hope you are correct. IT certainly aided in bringing the economy to the brink, but there people behind the algorithms and it is my hope that these individuals will live up to the responsibility entrusted them and this goes for managers as well.
This view might be idealistic but it really should not be.
