An nine year veteran of Dell, Jim started as an EMC Storage Sales Specialist before moving to Alliance Management roles supporting our relationships with VMware, Symantec, and Oracle. Barton George is the Director of Marketing for Dell's Web vertical. Barton has been at Dell for 2 years and previous to his current role, he served as Dell's cloud evangelist. Before Dell Barton spent 13 years at Sun Microsystems in a variety of roles last of which as Open Source evangelist, and driver of Sun's Linux strategy. Barton began his professional career with a four year stint in Tokyo where he worked for Sony working with ISVs for their UNIX-based "NEWS" workstation. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, he headed east for higher education and attended Williams College and Harvard Business School.
